Short Curriculum Vitae

Paolo Mataloni is full professor since 2000 at "Sapienza", Università di Roma, in the Physics Department, where he teaches Optics and Laboratory and Nonlinear and Quantum Optics. During his career his research fields concerned nonlinear optics, laser physiscs and ultrafast optical phenomena, optical microcavities and microlasers. Nowadays, he works in quantum interferometry and quantum information with photons. In this field he conducts experiments on the generation, detection and characterization of entangled and hyperentangled states and mixed states, the generation of 2-photon cluster states and multilevel quantum states and their application to quantum computation and quantum communication and in advanced quantum nonlocality tests.

Paolo Mataloni has been a member of the Directive Council of LENS (European Laboratory for Nonlinear Spectroscopy) – Firenze and chairman of the Scientific Council of CNISM (Consorzio Interuniversitario per la Fisica della Materia). He is a member of the Quantum Eelectronic and Optical Division Board of the European Physical Society.
